Peter Gelderblom's musical career starts at the age of 14 (1979) musically inspired by Earth Wind & Fire, Ohio Players, George Benson etc. He played at a club called LaBaraque near Rotterdam for 6 years with great success. It resulted in having a new residency at the biggest club in Rotterdam, Ramblas Club, where he played for nearly 10 years. During the week he worked as a store manager at Midtown Records in Rotterdam.
After those glory days at Ramblas it was time to start something for his own together with his wife Helen. The result was a club on a boat called Barocca which was the most popular after club in the Netherlands at that time. During the week he started to work as a label manager and producer for the well-known record label 'Blue Records'. After 4 years Barocca had to close his doors because of new rules of the city of Rotterdam. It was a big slap in the face and he had a hard time for a year, but Peter and Helen recovered and started at a new club called The Revolution and again it was (and still is) a great success. During this period he met Rene Amesz who was working at Midtown and they discussed if there was a possibility to co-operate and produce together. They built a brand new studio in the centre of Rotterdam at the back of a record store called Rhythm Import. Peter's currently a club/shop/studio owner and producer with his music partner and big friend Rene Amesz. Releases under their own names and their project 'Underground Movement' are well-known all over the world.
The current productions of Peter Gelderblom are appreciated by great artists such as David Penn, Dj Chus & Ceballos, Deep Dish, Roger Sánchez, Simon & Shaker, Sander Kleinenberg, Joe T Vanelli, Hernan Cattaneo, Pete Tong, etc... and his very personal sets seduce with a not comparable and unique groove which turns him into one of the best funky house & tribal house deejays in the world.
